YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As a (Senior) Global Medical Director (GMD) Migraine (m/f/d), you will provide strategic medical leadership for our migraine pipeline product and shape the global Medical Affairs strategy throughout the product lifecycle. You will drive pre-launch and launch readiness, align cross-functional, regional and local stakeholders, and ensure impactful evidence generation, scientific engagement and communication in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

  • Develop and lead the global Medical Affairs strategy and tactical plans for the pre-launch and launch of our migraine pipeline product, and ensure successful roll out
  • Act as the medical and scientific product owner and represent Medical Affairs as a core member of the cross-functional Global Project Team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leading external experts and deliver high-quality scientific programs, advisory boards, and congress activities
  • Translate medical insights and stakeholder needs into impactful strategies, educational initiatives, and launch activities
  • Provide strategic guidance for the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan, including Phase IV studies, real-world evidence, and investigator-initiated trials
  • Lead the scientific communication and publication strategy, including congress planning, competitive insights, and the development of a compelling scientific narrative
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, partner effectively with US Medical Affairs and regional / country teams, and lead Global Medical Project Team meetings
  • Ensure all Medical Affairs activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, SOPs, and internal guidelines

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Medical and scientific degree, such as an MD, medical specialization, PhD, or an equivalent qualification and experience
  • 15+ years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including significant experience in global roles and product launches
  • Proven ability to provide strategic leadership and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority
  • Strong expertise in scientific communication, evidence generation, and the development and review of scientific and clinical documents
  • Experience with the US market and additional business or leadership training would be an advantage
  • Strategic, proactive, and results-oriented mindset combined with hands on approach, strong networking and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a complex global environment
  • Fluent English skills, proficiency in common Microsoft Office tools, and willingness to travel internationally approximately 30% of the time
