YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As Senior Manager Controlling - Region Europe (m/f/d), you will be a key member of our Global Finance & Controlling team and act as a trusted business partner to the European commercial organization of Merz Therapeutics.
You will provide financial guidance, ensure transparency, and drive strategic growth across our European markets. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Business Partnering: Advise the commercial organization on financial and strategic topics to support sound business decisions
  • Planning & Reporting: Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes in line with corporate requirements
  • Financial Closing: Ensure accuracy and quality of month-end and year-end closings for the European region
  • Business Cases & M&A: Develop financial models for strategic initiatives and support M&A activities, from due diligence to integration
  • KPI Management: Design and enhance KPI frameworks and dashboards for transparent performance steering
  • Process Improvement: Lead cross-functional projects to optimize efficiency and financial processes across the region

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in Controlling, ideally within the Pharma or Life Sciences industry
  • Strong knowledge of SAP R/3, BW, BO, S/4 HANA and Microsoft Office (Excel, Analysis for Excel, PowerPoint), and eager to explore the potential of AI and automation to enhance business processes
  • Experience with business case development, M&A, and IFRS reporting
  • Excellent command of English and German; another European language is a plus
  • Experience in cross-border collaboration and navigating multicultural contexts
  • Analytical, structured, and hands-on, with strong communication skills
  • Proactive mindset and a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
