YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As Demand Planner, you will drive excellence by challenging forecast quality and identifying & rolling out good forecasting practices. For the purpose to bring better outcomes to more patients, you will be accountable for the overall demand planning process.

  • Operating the volume forecasting process to improve customer service levels, reduce working capital and minimise stock write-offs

  • Generating a demand plan (including the generation of statistical forecast baselines) for a 36-month horizon and supports the monthly Demand Review Meetings to make the necessary adjustments based on the market intelligence whilst embedding delivery and process management of Risks & Opportunities process

  • Ensuring a comprehensive total volume forecast including new product introduction, competitor activity and tenders

  • Ensuring a robust monthly review of the bottom up and top down forecasting process

  • Collaborating with and feed monthly inputs into supply planing function as well as collaborating closely within Merz Therapeutics to understand required service levels

  • Monitoring of demand forecasting KPIs and to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias. Ensuring performance deviations from the agreed standards are root caused and corrective/preventative actions are in place to drive continuous improvement

  • Developing demand scenario plans to support the stakeholders at market and regional level to assess business risks and opportunities and take the appropriate decisions.

  • Supporting process owner with management of segmentation, classification, consumption and replenishment frequencies. Proposing initiatives to reduce complexity within product portfolio (e.g. SKU reduction)

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree (Master/Bachelor) ideally in economy or logistics

  • Relevant working experience in demand management or supply chain planning within the pharma or logistics industry

  • Experienced in using SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud

  • Sound analytical skills, accuracy, and a results-oriented approach to work

  • Good sense of ownership, initiative and confident in dealing with different stakeholders

  • Very strong communication skills in English and German
